PCCF DONATES TO INDONESIAN RELIEF FUND

In response to the recent earthquake and tsunami that hit Indonesia, the Philippine-Canadian Charitable-Foundation (PCCF) extended its support by presenting a donation at the KEDAI INDONESIA relief fund raising event to Consul General Leonard Felix Hutabarat at the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia last October 20th, 2018. . The PCCF group was led by PCCF VP Rosemer Enverga, PCCF Council of Leaders Amelia Arcillo & Norlyn Relente.

PCCF DONATES TO MYANMAR FLOOD RELIEF Last Saturday September 29th 2018, the Philippine Canadian Charitable Foundation (PCCF) donated a cheque of $500 to support with relief efforts in hard-hit areas of Myanmar where hundreds and thousands of people were forced to flee from their homes to safety due to heavy monsoon rains and flooding. Led by PCCF Executive VP, Rosemer Enverga, PCCF Officers, Tony & Lita Leano, Mario Alpuerto, Amelia Arcillo, the donation was presented to Daw Mar Mar Cho of the Burma Canadian Association of Ontario (BCAO). Also in attendance to show their support were Samantha Sarmiento-Little Miss Philippines Canada 2018, Elvira Ortiz-Mrs. Philippines Canada 2018 and Edna Avila-Mrs. Philippines Canada 2018 runner-up. "After seeing the devastation caused by the flooding, PCCF can truly relate to what the people of Myanmar are going through. The Philippines has been struck by countless of flooding and natural disasters, so we felt that it was our obligation to help our neighbours in need" said Rosemer Enverga. PCCF has donated to various relief efforts including the ones in the Philippines, Tibet and more.

A Visit to Boso Boso, Antipolo 

On January 24th, the PCCF group traveled to the Nuestra a Señora de la Annunciata Parish Church in Boso Boso, Antipolo. There, the PCCF officers and pageant delegation were warmly welcomed by the indigenous kids and handed bags of canned goods, toiletries, school supplies and personal hygiene items.

 Tsinelas Alay sa Kabataan

On February 2, 2018, Miss Teen Philippines Canada 2017 - Jenna Ramos visited her parent's hometown of Ulong Pating, Paltao, Pulilan, Bulacan where she was welcomed by vice-mayor and mayor of Pulilan. On February 3, Jenna was introduced by Rotary Club members as the sponsor of their Tsinelas Alay sa Kabataan. Jenna provided slippers and jollibee lunch for the 150 kids. She also prepared 150 loot bags for them. For door prizes, she gave away her collection of stuffed toys.

Cornerstone Baptist Deaf Academy

PCCF DONATES TO CORNERSTONE BAPTIST DEAF ACADEMY Cornerstone Baptist Deaf Academy is a school for the deaf where they provide basic education, communication skills, Biblical values and the renewed hope to build and lead their lives. Miss Philippines Canada 2016 - Krista Bella, PCCF EVP Rosemer Enverga and delegation were at the academy in Bamban, Tarlac to hand out the donations. They were warmly welcomed and treated with a beautiful performance by the students. It was indeed a touching experience!

"Ngiti Mo Sagot Ko" Dental Mission

Philippine Canadian Charitable Foundation, Miss Teen Philippines Canada 2016 Chiara Silo in coordination with Philippine Dental Association-Davio City Chapter held a very successful "Ngiti Mo Sagot Ko" Dental Mission held at St. Francis Assisi Parish, Davao City. The dental mission was not only a great way to provide cleaning and check-ups to those in need but also to educate them on how to care for their dental hygiene. Coincidently, Chiara shares the same advocacy as Miss Universe, Iris Mittenaere which is dental hygiene awareness.

Don Juan Pimentel Elementary School

Mrs Philippines Canada 2016 - Amelia was warmly welcomed by the students of Don Juan Pimentel Elementary School in Bactas, Basud, Camarines Norte as she conducted a feeding program for the students.

Kimpo Elementary School & Bukas Lapad Foundation Inc.

Miss Teen Philippines Canada 2016 - Chiara Silo continues to do a phenomenal job being an Ambassador of Goodwill during her visit in the Philippines. She conveyed words of inspiration and motivation and gave out goodies to the students of Kimpo Elementary school in Cotabato City and Bukas Palad Foundation Inc. We're proud of you Chiara! Bukas Palad Foundation Inc, is one of the social expressions of the Focolare Movement, a nonprofit and non-government organization. Bukas Palad provides comprehensive development program thru integrated and holistic services int he field of health, livelihood, education and community building among others. 

Pageants with a Cause Miss Philippines Canada 2015 Nathalie Ramos was warmly welcomed by the students of Marciana P. Catolos elementary school as she turned over 10 computers and 2 printers to help enrich their resources in providing quality and functional education. This is a great way to help others through education and technology! Nathalie has proven that there is more than just a crown and sash to her title but it is also the inner beauty of the heart to help those in need.

Miss Philippines Canada 2015 - Nathalie had a joint Feeding & Grooming activity project for the elderly with the Tanay Kapuso Lions Club in her hometown of Tanay, Rizal where she helped with tasks like providing manicures, grooming and serving meals. It was a memorable experience for Nathalie where the simple things helped bring happiness for the residents of haven for the elderly.

While in the Philippines, an area in Bagong Silang, Laguna caught Ansha's eye when she saw the living conditions of the poor children. Many of these poverty stricken children came from single parent households. Ansha wanted to put a smile on their faces so she took the initiative to help them out by surprising them with bags full of food and goodies.

PCCF once again donates to KCCC

KALAYAAN CULTURAL COMMUNITY CENTRE, an organization that serves as a focal point for the celebration of our culture and history as well as the enjoyment of a wide spectrum of programs and services is once again the beneficiary of the Philippine Canadian Charitable Foundation. It is now two years in a row that PCCF has donated to this very worthy organization.

PCCF donates to aid Nepal Earthquake victims

Due to the success of the Pinoy Fiesta and Tradeshow sa Toronto, PCCF handed over a cheque to the Nepal Ambassador to Canada to help aid the people impacted by the recent earthquake in Nepal.

Mrs Philippines Canada 2014's Mission for the Kids of Mangyan Tribe

During her visit to her hometown of Calapan in Oriental Mindoro, Velona had a reunion with a fellow youth leader in her student days, Fr. Patrick A. Bautista, who is now a Catholic priest in the province. Fr. Bautista, together with Gerline Gawad and other leaders in Pola, Oriental Mindoro, initially planned to take Velona & her husband, Jimmy Quan, to visit Mangyan students in the mountains. Mangyans are the indigenous tribes with their own language and customs in the remote mountains of Oriental Mindoro, which is southwest of the island of Luzon. Finding out that that Beth is in the family way, they changed their plans. They instead arranged to have the children come down from the mountains. 
  
About 129 young students from Grade 1-6 walked down from their mountain tribes to the Calatagan Elementary School to give Velona and Jimmy a very warm welcome.

PCCF Donated $1500+ to Kapwa Ko Mahal Ko Foundation

Kapwa Ko Mahal Ko Foundation is a non-governmental and non-profit organization in the Philippines that helps the needy  in the country especially children afflicted with cancer. PCCF was proud to donate $1500+ to the organization for their great cause. (2015)

PINOY FIESTA TORONTO 2013 PROCEEDS TO HELP SEND DIALYSIS MACHINES FOR THE POOR!
Philippine Canadian Charitable Foundation (PCCF) true to its advocacy for charity is sending Dialysis Machines to various hospitals in the Philippines that cater to poor and needy patients. 

Dialysis Machines are life saving equipment that are in dire need in the Philippines. PCCF President, Romy Rafael, indicated in an interview that "Helping our Kababayans is a passion for all the PCCF officers and supporters" and "Thanks to all the supporters of PCCF, without them supporting PCCF events like the Pinoy Fiesta and the PCCF Pageants, PCCF will not be able to achieve its goals." The Dialysis Machines Arrive in the Philippines (January, 2014)

 

The Dialysis machines arrive safely in the Philippines! The Kapuso Foundation accepts the donation of Dialysis machines to be distributed to some of the poorest areas of the Philippines.

Members of PCCF including VP Rosemer Enverga together with the 2013 Pageant winners - Anjali Pathmanathan, Little Miss Philippines Canada; Caitlin Pantaleon, Miss Philippines Canada, Chona Stinson, Mrs. Philippines Canada  and representing Little Mr Philippines, Edward Jones travel to the Philippines.

Official handing over of Dialysis Machines in Benguet Province (February, 2014)

Some members of the Kabenguetan- Toronto organization are present to officialy hand over the donation of Dialysis Machines in the Benguet Province, Philippines. The other dialysis machines will be distributed in different areas of the Philippines.

PCCF Donated $1100+ for Kidney Patients

Money was given through the President of Bicol Association Paeng Nebres for delivery to the Imelda Papsin  Kidney foundation (2011).
