TAIWANFest 2018 Fête with the Philippines
The Philippine Canadian Charitable Foundation (PCCF) would like to thank the Taiwanese government for inviting the organization to represent the Philippine-Canadian community at the 2018 TaiwanFest and Fete with the Philippines Concert at Harbourfront Centre, Toronto last Friday August 24th, 2018.
The PCCF delegation was led by PCCF EVP Rosemer Enverga, PCCF Officers Mario Alpuerto, Sena Flores, Cherri DiGregorio, Marita Enriquez,Zeny Crescini, Amelia Arcillo and the 2018 Pageant entourage: Samantha Sarmiento-Little Miss Philippines Canada 2018, Sophia Sambrana-Little Miss Philippines runner-up, Ranielle Macapagal-Miss Philippines Canada 2018, Elvie Ortiz-Mrs. Philippines Canada 2018 and Edna Avila-Mrs. Philippines Canada runner-up.
Highlights of this 3-day event included a special plaque of recognition to commemorate the life and contributions of the late Senator Enverga presented to his wife, Rosemer Enverga. The event also included the Fête with the Philippines! – Symphony Concert by Maestro Ken Hsieh with the Auba Children's Choir, The Jeepney Experience and Let’s Savour Taiwan. The event was attended by thousands! Kudos to Maestro Ken Hesieh & the TAIWANfest Orchestra as well as to the Asian Canadian Special Events Association for organizing this fascinating event that explored the cultural connections between Taiwan and the Philippines!
