In just over three weeks, Typhoon Goni (Rolly) - a category 5 storm and Typhoon Vamco (Ulysses) hit the same regions in the Philippines. These super typhoons have caused widespread damage to agriculture and infrastructure which has also led to disastrous flooding and landslides. As a result, over a million people have had to evacuate leaving hundreds of thousands of people homeless causing great suffering, destruction and distress.

To make matters worse both typhoons came at a time when the Philippines is already suffering from a surge of COVID-19 infections in the country. Currently, the Philippines has the largest rate of COVID-19 infections in Southeast Asia, second only to Indonesia.

With all the challenges we are facing, let us not forget to help the less fortunate. Please donate.
