Historic visit by Philippine President Benigno Aquino III
Philippine President Benigno Aquino III made his first state visit to Canada last May 8th, 2015. It was a truly memorable and historic event for Filipino-Canadians to see two heads of state who share long-standing and positive bilateral relationships. A warm reception was held at Roy Thompson Hall in Toronto by Prime Minister Stephen Harper, Senator Tobias Enverga Jr, Minister Joe Oliver, Minister Jason Kenney, former Toronto Congen Mahilium-West (who flew in from Jordan), Canadian Ambassador Neil Reeder, various Canadian delegates and thousands of Filipino community leaders who were in attendance and came in such short notice.
Philippine Canadian Charitable Foundation (PCCF) was humbled to be part of this event. We truly had an experience of a lifetime.. Mabuhay tayong lahat!
