Celebrating the 120th year of Philippine Independence
Celebrating the 120th year of Philippine Independence, the Philippine Canadian Charitable Foundation (PCCF) together with hundreds of attendees from Toronto and Ottawa raised the Philippine Flag atop Parliament Hill. This is the 6th year that the Philippine flag was raised at Parliament Hill which was first initiated by the late Senator Enverga, the first Canadian of Philippine descent to be appointed to the Senate.
The PCCF entourage and pageant beauties showcased their talents and enjoyed the Filipino delicacies including 2 lechons! It was an especially memorable celebration as the main Parliament building is scheduled to close later in the summer for a 10-year renovation. However, the annual event is planned to continue in the years to come. So we hope to see everyone again next year!
Happy Philippine Independence Day & Mabuhay!
