Outreach to the Children of North Manila Cemetery

A heartwarming Feeding Program was held at San Roque Church during the Philippine Canadian Charitable Foundation (PCCF)’s annual visit to the Philippines. In response to the realities of poverty faced by many families — including those living within the North Manila Cemetery on the church grounds — this outreach aimed to bring hope, care, and community support. Hundreds of children received hot meals and essential food supplies, turning an ordinary day into one filled with smiles, laughter, and compassion. (For privacy and protection, children’s faces were blurred in photos.)

The PCCF delegation was led by President Rosemer Enverga and joined by the Pageants with a Cause entourage: Princess Salandino (Miss Philippines Canada 2025), Charisma Toupin (Miss Teen Philippines Canada 2025), Andrea Penaverde (Miss Philippines Canada Runner-Up), Scarlett Ubaldo (Little Miss Philippines Canada Runner-Up), and Syrille Guzman (Miss Philippines Canada runner-up). Together, they participated in charitable initiatives that reflect PCCF’s mission of service, advocacy, and making a meaningful difference in underserved communities. 💛

PCCF was founded by the late Sen. Tobias C. Enverga Jr., the first Filipino Canadian elected to Toronto City Council and appointed to the Senate of Canada.
