PCCF DONATES TO MYANMAR FLOOD RELIEF

Last Saturday September 29th 2018, the Philippine Canadian Charitable Foundation (PCCF) donated a cheque of $500 to support with relief efforts in hard-hit areas of Myanmar where hundreds and thousands of people were forced to flee from their homes to safety due to heavy monsoon rains and flooding. Led by PCCF Executive VP, Rosemer Enverga, PCCF Officers, Tony & Lita Leano, Mario Alpuerto, Amelia Arcillo, the donation was presented to Daw Mar Mar Cho of the Burma Canadian Association of Ontario (BCAO).

Also in attendance to show their support were Samantha Sarmiento-Little Miss Philippines Canada 2018, Elvira Ortiz-Mrs. Philippines Canada 2018 and Edna Avila-Mrs. Philippines Canada 2018 runner-up.

"After seeing the devastation caused by the flooding, PCCF can truly relate to what the people of Myanmar are going through. The Philippines has been struck by countless of flooding and natural disasters, so we felt that it was our obligation to help our neighbours in need" said Rosemer Enverga.
